Several times a year, Kanawha County Emergency Ambulance Authority, West Virginia’s largest and most progressive public provider of Emergency, Non-Emergency Services, and Mobile Integrated Health Services, offers an exciting opportunity for highly motivated, compassionate, and organized individuals who want to start a rewarding career in EMS.
The EMT Academy is full time, Monday through Friday, primarily from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The class lasts approximately six weeks. Upon successful completion of the course, students take the National Registry EMT-B Exam. Continued employment is contingent on successfully obtaining National Registry EMT-B certification. Applicants must be eligible to work any assigned position following certification as an EMT-B.
