The Kanawha County Commission entered into an agreement to provide free healthcare to all full-time employees, part-time employees and their families. The service is available 28-32 hours per week, at no cost to the employee. Experienced clinicians are prepared to manage your healthcare needs. Whether it's simple cold and flu symptoms, minor injuries or long-term care for high blood pressure or diabetes, we're here to get a healthier you.

601 Brooks Street, on the left, just past the interstate on-ramp. We are located at the rear of Kanawha County Ambulance central office. Just look for the signs.

We provide primary care and treat acute illness and injuries. If you do not have a family physician, this is a great opportunity to establish yourself with one. You won't be waiting weeks or months to get an appointment either. The clinic can care for your short- and long-term medical needs. There is no need to go to an urgent care center when you can be seen the same day for your illness.

You'll be seen by a physician, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant at no charge. Your visit includes lab work, if needed. Common prescriptions for acute illness are available on site, saving you a trip to the pharmacy. Most prescriptions are available for a nominal fee of $7.50. There is no charge for visits to the clinic, no co-pay, no deductible to meet. Unless you purchase a prescription, there will never be a cost for your clinic visit.

Do you have questions about a medical condition of yours or a family member and want to talk to someone about it? Perhaps you have had lab work performed and want to discuss the results. Maybe you are on track to a healthier you and want to discuss smoking cessation, diet or exercise. The clinic is a great resource and our medical staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

No appointment needed. We are open 8 a.m to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, except Wednesday. On Wednesdays, we are open 8 a.m. to 12 noon. We are closed on government holidays. As our hours may vary from time to time, all we ask is that you give us a call to let us know you need to come in that day. For a primary care visit, you'll be scheduled within 48 hours of your call. Call the clinic at 304.346.8877.
